Aeon of Awareness released their debut EP Dialogue With The Unconscious on April 23, 2021, followed by their second EP Wairua on April 15, 2022. Wairua represents a musical journey through the mythology of the Māori, exploring spiritual themes that can also be mirrored in the challenges of modern society.
On January 17, 2025, the band unveiled their full-length album The Embracing Light of Rarohenga. The title refers to the Māori underworld and sets a tone that is both dark and epic. This record marks the culmination of everything Aeon of Awareness stands for: classic melodic death metal, modern production, and profound lyrical depth.
Prime examples include King Kauri, in which an ancient tree gazes upon humanity’s downfall before delivering its devastating judgment, and Ira Di(e)mensions, one of the album’s fastest and most aggressive tracks that confronts the seven deadly sins and the destructive side of human nature.
